Moodle LMS

A significant challenge in any organization is finding a way to not only provide information to employees but make sure they have the resources to learn their jobs and information they might need to be more effective. Initially, the direction was to integrate a Learning Management System (LMS) into the existing Drupal website that the Call Center used to deliver information and organize content. When that solution was found to be not as user friendly, the decision was made to consider Moodle for the training and information.

The requirements for this particular organization not only needed to be user friendly for existing teams, but engaging and easy to follow for those coming into the workforce. Methods of not only providing the information but documenting who accessed the courses, regulating access by testing scores or steps completed or restricting access to a select admin or upper level manaagement. The open-source software needed to be downloaded and installed on their servers and updated as possible along with any additional modules or plugins that had been deployed. The project needs both a technical implementation and an eye to the information structure and style guide to be used across the site in terms of consistency and effective delivery. Additional standalone sites are being developed for external business partners and investors with this same software and information structure.
