Drupal

Coming into an existing program can be daunting when tasked with the job of recreating the wheel.

This company used a Drupal site to deliver content to retailers and call center personel via roles and backend programming that sllows access to the primary databases. The front end work, not being as critical, was handled by various admnistrative assistants, managers, assorted sales people. It showed. Many had no understanding of HTML and content was entered in the GUI editor. Images had been acquired from unknown sources and were of unknown ownership. Information was scattered about the site and duplicated. There was no set style; no set organization or management process followed.

First we established a style and structure of what information should be presented and how. Standardized templates - using legal graphics - were developed and put in place for each program served. Process and ownership was established for information management. A system of version control and archiving was outlined. Training and education on what information was needed and where to find it was created and scheduled on a regular basis.

System is still in place with content being reevaluated, revised and moved into the various Learning Management Systems as time and need dictates.
