About me

Background

I have always been fascinated with puzzles and I consider programming to be a form of puzzle logic. It might be coding in C++, laying out a website or doing data queries, all contain a key element of logic and patterns. As does figuring out what you need and the best way to deliver it.

Experience

My first exposure to computers and logic came at the tender age of 17. Clueless then, the experience led me to explore work in computer programming and communications throughout the rest of my career paths. I have taught classes and tutored in Computer Literacy and Flowcharting, set standards and developed training on email coding and implementation, worked with specialized platforms with communities, CMS and LMS. My work has spanned multiple disciplines involving digital communications in all forms, content and data management and organizational structures. I have worked for educational entities such as universities and community colleges, small and large corporations, sole proprietors and non-profits.

Over the past 27 years, my experience in marketing and digital communications has incorporated project and people management, technical implementation and an ability to adjust to fast changing needs and opportunities.

Education

My education is never ending; university, college, specialized trainings and certificates to learn more and stay abreast of the latest trends and technology. I completed my second AAS degree, this time in Web Technologies, along with additional certificates in December 2016. I am always open to exploring new opportunities and finding new puzzle pieces to incorporate.

Examples

My work is majorly based on Web development, CMS, LMS, communities and digital whatevers. Those projects are spotlighted on the primary pages. I also have a strong interest in writing and content development. I've done some work for content mills, tightened up content delivered by others, written for learning projects and for the joy of, well, words.
